What are these boxes for?

What are these 2 boxes for? Both harnesses from each go back into the big harness into back of fuse block it appears.
This is on our '85 K30 (which was originally a C30 changed to a 4x4 by a conversion company for the Forestry Service or Air Force).
Checked our '85 C10 & it does not have either of these on its firewall.

Re: What are these boxes for?

I don't own a square body but I tried googling both an 85 k30 and c30 engine bays and didn't see one firewall with those 2 boxes. maybe when they did the conversion they added something?

That's kinda what I'm thinking too.

Guess I'll unwrap & follow wires to find out for sure - but since 668 views & nobody knew for sure, I don't feel so bad
