The Donkey's out again! And I think it's been eating the Jimson weed! Someone put Donkey back in the barn!

If he keeps eating that jimson weed, we'll have to send him to the Glue Factory!

Anyhow, we're glad Donkey is wearing his big boy pants today!

Donkey for President!!!

Are you referring to something specific, or just a general observation?

the thread which was removed was removed because somebody complained about content in it. From what I understand from other staff, there had been several warnings issued to various posters in the thread, from several staff members, and I had a conversation about the thread back when it began with the original poster.

I closed that thread because it was becoming a problem, as was past threads with similar content and the long gone "shop talk" forum. The owners of this site ask us to patrol and edit here and then people get butthurt when we do our jobs. The owners of this site do not want specific content on this site.
Here I thought I was being a nice guy just closing/moving the thread and not handing out violations/suspensions as could have been.

Tell you what.. If you have a problem with my actions ( ANYONE) get hold of Liz or Josh who are in charge here and message them and ask them to review the thread. They have small children who view this site and THEY don't want to have pictures of scantily clad women popping up or political comments which will lead to heated ugly discussions here so you may be barking up the wrong tree.

Lastly us team leaders, moderators, and support staff do this to try and make this the best chevy truck site on the web. snide remarks about us doing our volunteer jobs are a slap in the face to us.

People ARE too sensitive, but you moderators have a tough job. One I am not willing to do.

Make the tough decisions and we will get over it.

My fault, I should have been more thoughtful! Don't hug or PDA Donkey; but you can be friends, BFF so to speak, with Donkey!

Sorry Rusty, I didn't mean for it to be a slap in the face. I was trying to be funny. The staff has a hard job to do keeping this place in line. No disrespect meant to you or anyone else. I hate cancer too....I'm on my second time around. I'm being admitted to Stanford tomorrow morning for marrow/blood transplant. I don't expect to see the outside of the hospital for close to a month.

Re: People are too sensitive

Just for the record

This is a great site
Everyone is nice to each other
old Rusty c10
And All the moderators and old timers keep it that way

Once “Another Chevyland Adventure”
Got moved from the 67-72 message board
To General Discussion
It took on a whole new identity
Real life story telling
While also giving general discussion a viewership boost

The thread definitely pushed the boundaries
But I’m pretty sure it was popular
In 6 months, almost 100 pages and over 65,000 views
It was never derogatory
And never(ever) was there an argument on it
I was bummed it got killed and deleted
There was probably more truck information and pictures
Than the majority of threads on this site
If the owners/moderators want it to live
They will edit out what they want
Close it, but let the info be seen

I met several board members personally
From the Adventure ( who became good friends)
And my texting buddies

To everyone who made it what it was
Thank you, it was a fun ride
I’ll see you next time
On
‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Hey Dale,
I wish you the best
I’ll be back in California in March
I’ll try and make some time to come visit you
And BS about life and chevy trucks
If you are up to it
