55.2-59 thru body exhaust

I was interested in a thru body exhaust exiting in rear fender. Anyone have any experience with it?
I assume I'll need a flex joint. Does it just create a rattle trap?

set it up as an ejector, like how some school buses have on the rear bumper. the larger pipe is actually attached to the panel, and is open on both ends, the exhaust pipe is just slightly inside the larger pipe, centered. when exhaust is flowing, the pressure air from the exhaust pipe flowing into the larger open pipe pulls ambient air through the open back of the larger pipe and cools the exhaust air. no burnt paint, no rattles, easy to set up.

good point i didnt think of, time to get the measuring tape out ....Agian! lol

seems like for every single modification, we always have to think WAAAAY down the lines for what problem or issues that will arrive. LOL I still love building Hot rods!

I've been pondering this exact same thing!! I want to do a through fender exhaust in front of the rear axle instead of the picture above where it comes out the rear. That way, when I'm aired out, I don't have to worry about trying to route a hot exhaust over the axle under the wooden bed. Anyone seen it done this way?
