Harmonic balancer

Hi, I have a 292 L6 I rebuilt for my 1965 c10 and the harmonic balancer is done. I have a good one off a mid 80's 250 can I use the one off the 250 on the 292?

No. Even if it fits the weight is different.

Re: Harmonic balancer

Where would be a good place to buy a replacement at a reasonable cost? How hard is it to repair?

Re: Harmonic balancer

i recently got one from summit, haven't installed it yet.
along time ago i had to pull my balancer , i found it was a lot easier with the radiator removed. a puller makes it easier. be sure to use a new seal.

Re: Harmonic balancer

The operative phrase here was "have yours rebuilt" doubtful you can do it yourself. But stranger things have happened.
