Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Just bought an '83 CC. Good shape for a Michigan truck.

My plans are converting to 4x4. Dropping in a Cadillac 500 ci.

It will be used as a tow rig.

Limited Edition? Anybody have info?

trucks so big it makes those tires look small. in the first pic I recognized the tread pattern, but couldn't believe they're 37s, they look small. Side pic they look big though. That's what I was thinking of doing with mine, I've got dually axles under it, which is cool, but I cant do much about bigger tires, so the 6" in the front looks kind of funny with little weenie tires. I thought to fit 37s I'd have to put in a bodylift, but yours looks to clear them up front ok.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I agree, I like them as they came from the factory. Mine's an '85 K30 dually, I picked her up for $1200 in Denver. 454, th400, np305, 3.73 gears. Adjusted the timing and put on a new fuel pump and she's running okay, still need to rejet the carb for the altitude (8,600 ft). Little rust above the doors but pretty nice for an Illinois truck. I'll posts pictures as soon as I figure out how, it keeps asking me for the url and I just want to upload them. PM me if you can help me out.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

His name is Mike or BodyDragger on C10forum.com. He started out with a POS crew cab and a donor 5lug 1/2 ton and what you see it the final product. The craftsmanship is unbelievable!!!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I know its just an in progress pic. Hopefully I will get some pics within the month of it running, but here is my crew cab.

I got the truck from Las Vegas so its rust free. Came without a motor or trans to t case. Putting in a 454, 465, 205

Future plans are to bag it (the opposite direction most are going) fit some 315/75/16s on it, with only about 2" of lift. Lots of body work is going to go into this one to make it super nice. Its my dream rig, been wanting one for years.

It looks clean. Is the paint that nice or is it the flash?

Some of the paint is actually that nice but some of its not, like half the truck sat in the shade all day and half didn't, still need to find a hood for it that is decent going to two tone it red and silver
