head question

When is it necessary to use screw in or studed rocker arm studs. Am i going to have any problem running .480 lift without either or??

Na, you should be OK with press in studs, as long as you don't go overboard on the valvesprings. Once you get over 500 lift and triple valve springs, then I'd think about screw-in studs.

What are you running........100lb. seat pressure probably?????? you will be fine without all that other, just like Randy said....you will be fine with press in studs and no pins.....

You should be fine then. That's a nice streetable cam, they have a nice lopey sound too! My buddy has that same cam in his 1946 Ford coupe (Chevy powered)

I just finished the motor today after yesterdays mishap ( I broke the second ring.040 and noone in town had one) so I bought a set and finished it up. Installing the roll control tomarrow. With this motor and a manuel valve body she ought to be fun to drive. Thanks for the input.
