47-55.1 LMC Leaf spring parts compared to Filling Station - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am looking to buy a bunch of suspension parts like leaf spring shackles and shock mounts and stuff and find that LMC is HALF the cost of the Filling station.

Half the cost scares me like Harbor Freight. Have any of you bought this stuff, is it a good quality?

I thought I had posted this here many months ago and searched for it and couldn't find the thread.

I also need lower shock mounts for a 55 passenger car as that is the rear end I am using and they end up being around $100 at Danchuk I guess that's the best place for them.

Have you checked Rock Auto to see what they have? I've bought quite a bit of suspension pieces off them over the past few years or use their part numbers for Moog or Delco to search Ebay for pieces that are listed by number but don't show the application. That has saved me a ton of money on the front end of my 71 3/4 ton.

The difference in cost between LMC and the Filling Station might be their buying power on certain items.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
