1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

I'm going to part this Blazer out the following way:
Original paint CST A.C. bare tub, sheetmetal only. solid floors and rocker boxes, will need the usual rocker/lower panel work. $600
Very clean single wall top, no hatch. $450
3.73 geared rolling chassis, motor and T-case crossmembers set up for V8 auto. $600
I can store any of these pieces until spring to allow plenty of time to plan a trip. Thanks, Sharpie

Looks like a good start for some one. How much for the shifter rope?

Solid sheet metal!

FYI, I belive it is a '72 due to the rear frame horns, vent window screw, and single wall top.

Too much stuff: shifter rope? That's keeping the door from flying open in the Wyoming wind!
Badpeanut: You are right it's a 72, I lost my internet connection and then flubbed the title on round 2.... luckily I had the rest of the description copied! Sharpie

You got any pictures of the bottom side? What kind of shape are the torsion boxes and related hardware in? Powell, WY can be treacherous to get to this time of year... good call on the 'storing til spring'!

1949gmc: I'll try to "catch the light" tomorrow and get some underneath pics. The torsion boxes, etc. are excellent, factory paint and undercoat still adhered. Sharpie

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

Well, I'd be interested in it. Does it come with a title? Is the frame for sale the same one that the tub is on? I'm assuming that it is.

Sharpie, It looks like it still has the chrome strips that go along the top of CST side interior panels. If so, and if they are for sale and in good condition, how much for them shipped to 77584.

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

1949gmc: This one came from a bodyshop auction. The owner died and his wife only had titles for some of his parts rigs, the rest were sold with bill of sale. Yes, the tub, frame, and top pictured are the ones for sale.
1956cameo: I will be getting more pics today and will let you know condition of the top strips.
Thanks, Sharpie

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

1949gmc: Hi Ray, it got above freezing here today so I washed some of the Wyoming dust out of the tub. The only areas of rust I found other than the obvious rockers and lower 1/4's were drivers side lower kick panel and just starting at the rear of the bed. The floors are very solid, just surface rust. The underside, frame, and axles are very clean. The top is solid with no damage. Hope the pics help, Sharpie
1956cameo: The top rails for the panels are in poor shape. Thanks, Sharpie

This isn't the other blazer rolling chassis that you were referring to here is it...since I never heard anything back.

Guess I will hop in line...

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

so based on this and the other thread - what is the order of potential buyers for this tub/chassis/top - just so I know...I don't want to line jump anybody or get jumped either.

I am interested in buying a body/rolling chassis if the price and condition are right - I don't need a top for it. How is the Jimmy tub that is on the way - any issues that you know of rust wise. I don't need two tubs - just need one.

Thanks Sharpie -

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

lks dcvn:1949gmc has first shot. You did express interest in seeing pictures of the 2nd rolling chassis once I got it in. I should have carefully read my first thread and sent you a PM letting you know that I started a new thread with pictures. That would have been the proper line of communication. I apologize for not letting you know that the pictures had been posted. Hopefully I am handling this correctly. I don't want to cause problems or create enemies, just trying to keep our 67-72's on the road. As far as the Jimmy goes the outside looks the same as this one, but I have not got it home to strip down the interior and check all areas. Thanks, Sharpie

No worries Sharpie - just wanted to be sure -

My bet is 1949gmc will hop on this one for sure to get his Jimmy back on the road...nice buy 1949gmc

I will then call first dibs on the Jimmy rolling chassis then...pending pix and price.

Thx! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Re: 1971 CST A.C. Blazer tub, single wall top, 3.73 rolling chassis

lks dcvn: Thanks for being understanding... I swore I would not get in the middle of one of these deals, but it looks I was not careful enough. You certainly do have first dibs on the Jimmy for the same price and I will PM you and wait for a response so that you know the pictures are being posted. Thanks, Sharpie
