Gas Gauge Issues...HELP!!

Ok, so a few months ago I replace the fuel sending unit. Clipped the gas gauge wire at the fuel sending unit back on the post, everything worked fine. This weekend I replaced the seal on the sending unit, reclipped the wire on the post and the gauge reads Empty, when I pull it off gauge goes to Full and stays there. Check at the fuse box to make sure it's plugged in properly, it is, checked both ends for corrosion, everything fine there. Any ideas??? Have not had time to take sending unit out but don't know why the problem would be internal since everything worked fine before simply replacing the rubber seal. Thanks for the help.

Re: Gas Gauge Issues...HELP!!

Check the float- may be hung up on side of the tank.

Did you check to see if the tanks empty?
