rubber boots for lower ball joints.

I have all new ball jointsand tie rods on my truck 67 C10.
Haven't even driven it yet. Needed to remove the springs and just couldn't brake the lower ball joint without using my fork. I was so careful, but still torn the cheap rubber boots that came with the ball joints.
I even torn a outter tie rod boot. I see replacements, I think the tie rod replacement will work.
Not the lower ball joints, not even close.

Anyone have this problem of trying to find replacement boots?

My last resort is to just buy new parts but like to avoid that. Don't I have apart now and hate to put back togteher knowing I have torn boots.

thanks!!

I've never found ball joint boots by them selfs. Just get the cheapest ball joint kit you can find and use that boot or check E-bay for some joints. I just got a set of Moogs for $40.

I'm not sure about in the USA, but here in Canada alot of auto parts stores have an isle of items called HELP. They have everything from small bolts, clips, tabs, window cranks, pedal pads, etc, etc, etc. They are in red packaging. Anyway, the HELP stuff also has tie-rod end and ball joints rubber boots.

I know, I just bought some!!

Let me know if you are desperate. We can maybe work something out.

I was in Pep Boys today looking through the "Help" section. Thought I saw what you're looking for.
