pics of repop door install

I am starting another build and ordered repop doors from GMC pauls. Although I am not quite ready I hung one door tonite by myself and I did not spend much time at all...... I am impressed by what I see so far, It looks like all the work we have heard about with the tooling of these has paid off....

Re: pics of repop door install

Fits much better than any aftermarkets I've used. Most I do I end up using the top loop of the original door to make it fit the cab.

Re: pics of repop door install

Glad to hear your another Happy customer of our new door shells we carry Rob, we've sold around a dozen sets so far and Everyone who's purchased these gave glowing reviews of them about the fit and ease of install. They are not how ever made by KeyPparts, they are distributed by Key Parts & Woodall Industries and manufactured by Apex, Apex is one of the dozens of panel manufacturers making parts for these trucks.

Would you happen to know of any Canadian distributors of Apex panels?
Thanks

Re: pics of repop door install

I believe Scotts in Canada is buying from Key Parts, you will want to make sure though that its the new doors as Key Parts sells both the Tri-plus made door shells & the Apex made door shells.

By looking at the "angle" of the pics... you have a very steep hill in your garage...

j/k

I'm gonna be in the market for new doors soon myself. Glad to hear these fit good!

This thread is a few months old, but does anyone else have an experience to share with the newly re-tooled repop doors? Thinking of buying one or 2

i know you guys said the weight is almost the same as oem, but is the outer door skin the same thickness? Other guys have said the previous ones were very flimsy...

Re: pics of repop door install

Yes,that's what this thread is bout. You want doors made by Apex and distributed by Tri=Plus and Woodall. just ask what a vendor sells. You'll want the closest vendor due to shipping. Bill they is near enough to pick up,in Front Royal. You could hit Carlisle or maybe even the swap meet this weekend in Westminster
