Re: Can u id these please

The switch on the right looks like a gear range indicator switch for something newish.
Not sure on the other items.

Right, PNP switch for trans (like stated above), middle is a shift lever for the trans, the left, id flip it over and get better shots.

The selector switch is Ford, judging by the electrical connector

Re: Can u id these please

I did replace an auto tranny in grandmas 96ish toyota camry a while back. I remember it needed a new shift cable. I got tranny from a junk yard. So i bet i took these off old tranny and then didn't need 'em on "new" one. Don 't know why/how they would get in my 68 chevy parts box!!!!!!

Re: Can u id these please

One thing I wish new people would do is find a buddy that has a few of these trucks. And buy him lunch or a 6 pack and learn all you can in a few hours he's around. He is golden to your NEW people working on Old toys that the PO had and sold extra parts in boxes.

I can't tell you how many times i find stuff from a 1973--95 on are 1960--72 trucks. One guy had stuff that he was trying to get replacement parts for.He was so mad he was almost ready to give me his 1969 1/2 ton truck No one would listen to him he even had the parts in his hands. The counter person was The computer said they don't make that part any more.

I was in my 1991 ford ranger but i own 9 of these trucks Been driving them for well over 20 years.

I hate to see a grown man Kick his truck.I waited until he was a little more calm.I asked can i see the parts.I know he looked around the parking lot to see if he can see my truck But i was in my 1991 ranger..I asked him to come back to my place so i can look under the hood of my 1968 3 door suburban to see if his part would fit.

When he saw me get in to my ranger I know what he thought This guy know nothing. But boy was he glad he did not. When i opened the gate he saw my Blue 1972 starring at him then my 1968 GMC suburban then my 1967 3 door then my 1971 my 1964 short bed my 1965 3/4 ton my 1968 long horn my 1971 mock up big block nova.

He jump out of his truck and was at a amazement of how many trucks i had.

He got really quite and almost came to tears.I told him Its OK we all been there. It happened to me back in 1987.So no shame in it.

So he had a parts boxes in the back of his truck I found a trash box and told him all the parts that i throw in that box do not belong to your truck or any of mine.

He kept wondering around the yard.Poping the hoods on all my trucks. He asked did they all run I told him NO.

He said what do they look like they all run.I was tot very young to keep all my parts attached to the engine and parts to the body for reference. If your have parts in the box you can't remember 6 months down the road how they go back on..

4 hours later he had a list of parts and numbers and a old LMC catalog to order parts from.i Told him to go down to orange country to the truck and car shop to buy his parts.

He did spent more money then he though he would but 5000.00 .I asked him a week later what the hell did you buy he oped up his shell and tail gate and showed me.We talked about wire harness Seat foam interior brakes bushings all new bushing every where radiator shroud an new Copper and brass 4 core radiator hoses eldalblock torker 2 intake new carb 650.He was so excited.

Then he looked at me an said you put it on.I said Ya right.then another 2500 came out of his pocket and said i can pay you but i need you to show me as well.

So Let me state this be careful when you speak up to be a nice guy an help
