Drivetrain noise

Hey guys I need some advice. I have a drivetrain noise from about 25mph to about 45mph only while accelorating. It sounds like its from the front of the truck but can't tell forsure. Advice?

Front end is all new....but front end wouldn't cause a noise only during acceleration.

Rear end? Its a junk yard swap, 12 bolt, limited slip that appears to be recently rebuild.

Re: Drivetrain noise

What kind of noise? I realize hard to type a description, but like a whining, a grinding or a vibration-type?

Re: Drivetrain noise

It is most likely the rear end. Grab the pinion flange &see if you can get any up & down play in it. If so the pinion nut may be loose. Turning play is normal. Take the cover off & check for side play in the carrier brgs. Notice the color of the lube. If it has a silver color to it something is going on. If every thing looks good you just have to live with it. They will run for years like that.
