There is PST tax on anything over $3K, and if they do not believe what you paid for the truck, they can have an appraisal done and charge you the "book value" of the truck. Not a big deal on an old truck, but if you say you bought an '04 Diesel 4x4 chevy for $800.00...

1970 Chevy C20. 1972 front C30 suspension and 1 ton disk brakes up front, Eaton 14B rear with 4.10's. Fresh 454 with billet aluminum belt drive, aluminum radiator, new flex fan, billet brackets, new edelbrock carb, new 120 amp alt and more crap you can poke a stick at. All new tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings, master cyl and booster, springs, shocks. Fresh Th400 and TC with a B+M stage 2 shift kit, new driveline and a ton more. I also have a new carpet, bumpers, dash pad, inner door panels and more crap. 16" aluminum rims and 33" tires.
3500.00. This thing runs like a top and will probably tow your house... I'll want the stereo out of it. I have a boat load of cash in it. Needs paint, some surface rust sanded off (no structural rot) and one dent kicked out.

Located in El Dorado, CA. I am in Boston, MA. I don't want to ship out a 2wd truck, no matter how hot roddish it is.

I also have a billet aluminum gauge panel with all auto meter guages that can go with it, for very little extra.

Scott told me he was firm. From the other pics I saw it looks to be quite solid with minimal rust and a few dings and dents. It is not a numbers matching truck as the 402 is out of something else and is set up with a long pump and bracketry. It has not run in quite some time and he advised me it would need some TLC before he would consider it reliable. He also noted the interior to be needing some TLC. A good project for somebody but I have my fill right now on stuff that needs work. Thanks for the pics and the heads up Slammed 66. I am still in the market for just the right truck.

Hey Ray,

Sounds to me like you have most of the info correct on Scotts truck. I saw it some time ago he wanted 7000.00 for it at the time. If I remeber off the top of my head, it has distance beauty only. When you get up close, it isn't as nice as the old 100 foot glance. However, the rockers and cab corners are quite nice. They are showing surface rust now. It has been a while since I saw it but I seem to remeber various dings on the body. I also remember there (at the time) was a few A/C parts and brackets missing. The truck could be considered average daily driver quality. With a little TLC would most likely be ok. Is it worth 6500? Well as I always figured... what else is there on the market and how big of hurry are you to get a truck. Take care

Curt
