Chip for 2005 4.3?
Anybody used a performance chip on the 4.3 6 banger? I am curious as to the HP gains and mileage differences. Also where to buy one? I have a SWB 2005 4.3 5spd. Thanks

No chips since 95. You can get a programmer. Hypertech, Superchips, and other s make them. Wester's garage can do a custom tune on your computer.
Seriously though with the 4.3L I don't see much gain coming out of it for the money.

Mine runs great but the gas is killing me. Getting about 17 mpg.

I am getting about 19-20 back and forth to work. I went down to Tanycomo a couple of weeks ago and did about half my tank on the highway and got over 21 mpg. So I figure I was getting about 23 on the highway. I am happy with that!

Anything over 20 is awesome. What gear ratios and tires do you guys have? Auto or stick?
