Cab to bed alignment.

Picking up a '72 long bed next week. New paint, rims, tires, built 350 and some other stuff. The cab to bed gap is suprisenly perfect. But I noticed the cab or bed sits a bit off to the side. It's not noticeable unless you're looking for it. If you're looking at the truck from the front, the cab sits to the left or the bed is to the right. But I noticed it because I was checking gabs and lines when I was checking it out. I measured the wheel base, exactly 127" on both sides. Is there
side-to-side adjustments?? Thanks.

Other than a bit of slop in the mounting holes, there is none provided by factory. I would guess maybe about 3/16"- 1/4" could be gained sliding cab one way and bed the other.

Re: Cab to bed alignment.

my 71k mile '72 is the same. The bed sits just slightly further toward the passenger side. I've noticed this with several other similar C/K's. there's no reason to believe the bed has ever been removed, so I suspect it was just the way it is. it's far from a concerning issue to me, as I'm the only one that ever notices it.
