OK, I guess these are still available. I've sent multiple PM's to Bill49 with no response after he said he would take them. Atomsplitter, if you are still interested, please PM me and let me know. Thanks,

Re: Heidt's upper and lower control arms, springs, shocks...

Rob, the problem I have currently is that I'm unsure who made my front end MII IFS components. They are tubular control arms but they look old and they are pitted from rust. I think that they may be original Mustang II parts and I don't know where to ask/look to see if any of the newer components from Heit's , Fat Man, etc. will operate properly with the original Mustang stuff. I bought the truck about a year ago and the previous owner had purchased it as an incomplete project from someone else so he knew very little about the origin of the running gear. Currently I'm getting ready to install the LT1 motor & 700r4 trans. so I haven't even had it out on the road as yet!
I can't commit to your parts till I know, first of all if I need them and secondly if they would fit. This is why I can't say "Yes, I'll take them". I would suggest you put them on e-Bay, "craigslist", etc. as it could be a while till I know the roadworthyness of what the truck currently has. Sorry and thanks for your time and patience.

Re: Heidt's upper and lower control arms, springs, shocks...

Ron,

These arms were made as adirect replacement for factory Mustang II arms. The below quote comes from their website as linked above.

" Economy Upper & LowerA-Arm - Finally, Mustang II Full A-Arms for the budget builder. Heidt's Hot Rod Shop has designed cost conscious control arms for the builder who does not require the high tech look of tubular control arms but wants the ease of installing custom full A-Arms on his Mustang II I.F.S. The upper arms are a direct replacement for factory arms. The lower A-Arms have the same wide triangulated spread that Heidt's full tubular lower A-Arms do, so they need no strut rods. Formed from 7 gauge steel, the same as their Mustang II crossmembers, they are super strong. They come complete with the ball joints and bushings installed, and with all the hardware and spacers ready to install."

Hart Rod, I am trying to get some stuff lined up for my girlfriends dads '57. If we sell a few more parts on the hamb from it, I might be interested in a week or two, keep me up to date. Thanks

Josh

It will work with any mustang crossmember (including a factory ford member). I prefer not to separate it. I have it already boxed up because I thought I had it sold, but that fell through. Let me know what you think.

I'm really not sure what is required to make the change.
