All Owners Of Suburbans With Rear Or Dual A/c

Any suburban owners that have rear or dual a/c I am looking for some info from you. on your rear a/c fans there is a harrison tag (blue and silver tag facing down or to the rear door) that has some numbers on it? please post the numbers and the year and if the a/c is in a rear only unit or a part of the dual a/c with dash a/c and the rear unit.

I am trying to figure out if there are any other GM burbs or vans that have rear a/c units that could work in are old burbs.

Here is a example of the numbers off of my 71 rear only a/c unit. EAB 252-71B

On my 71 unit there are 2 fan motors that have a fan both sides of the motor.

The 72 a/c rear unit that is part of the dual a/c unit looks like it has only one motor with the fan on each side. I have not taken the 72 rear unit cover of to get the numbers.

Unfortunately, I am low-tech and do not have a digital camera. You might try searching on the main board, I know I have seen pictures of the rear AC there. The only thing I could find was the drawing from the original brochure, and that is what it looks like. Check it out at http://brochures.slosh.com.

Landon, yours is NOT a factory AC unit. I'll try to scrounge a digicam and get a pic for you.

There are two factory styles, pre '72 and '72. Pre '72 have a tunnel running up the center of the roof that disperses air clear up to the people in the front. The second one looks like the rear piece of the pre-72 style. The pics I posted are '72 style.

Ckhd, is the headliner in your burb the original style or is it a different material? The reason I ask is it looks like it's in really good shape and most of the ones I see are kind of banged up (including the one in my burb).

Also, regarding the original subject of this thread, I looked at my rear AC unit last night and the Harrison tag is at the bottom of the fan assembly and unreadable without taking the cover off.

That's why I couldn't find the tag. If I get ambitious, I'll see if I can get the cover off.

Yes, it's the original headliner. It's in fairly good shape. I think it needs a good cleaning is the most of it.

Talking

I posted in answer to your other inquiry. We have two Burb AC
units and I posted the numbers back then. Do you need a repost or do you still have the numbers that I originally posted?
