1950 gmc long bed

I recently acquired a 1950 gmc from my uncle, and I have a bit of work ahead of me. It’s in pretty good shape, it was in dry storage in Florida for years. Just looking for any tips or information that could save my neck. I don’t know how original it is, I believe someone put one together, the block is tagged as being bored. Will post some more pictures later, yes, I have all the parts.

It looks reasonably original if that is what you are looking for. The tag on the block means that the block went though an engine rebuild shop at one time or another. That may also might mean it isn't the exact block that came with the truck if the engine was rebuilt on the exchange basis.
The photos made me a bit dizzy so I tried to fix them .

Thank you. I don’t know why it turned them all crazy when I posted them, mobile app I guess. I’ll try to get some better pictures tonight

great looking start! I think 1950 GMC was still positive ground, thats my neck saving advice. look into it before starting, because some times people convert them to negative ground.

I’ll definitely check into that, thank you. I was told it has the 12 volt conversion, no radio, just lights and the heater box, it say Chevrolet on the front of it. Doesn’t appear to have ever had a radio

If it's too much work for you I will happily tow it away for a small fee

Re: 1950 gmc long bed

Lol, I’d hate to put you through all that. My neighbor keeps offering to trade me his truck, stating a running vehicle is a great trade.
Got behind today, going to try to get some photos before work and post them
