after school goin into town, made my 2.5" rear drop bracket thingy..but need the u bolts...have NO idea where to look for some to be made...

what kinda shops?

muffler shops, lowes hardware type shops, machine shops,tire shops, custom truck shops?? i have no idea need help and FASSTTT

Try your local salvage yard or your local hardware store, like Home Depot or Ace Hardware. As far as what to pay... if they have it and you need it, well, it's kind of up to them.

Any chassis shop that deals with lift kits and such. Also tractor supply places they have em all sizes they would be most reasonable I think. Gotta have a tractor supply place in Tn.

I'm not real sure what you have around you, but in addition to what everyone else has said, I would check out: Carquest, Napa, brake shops, suspension and alignment shops. If not, check with some mechanics in your area to see where they get theirs from. If you have a little time, there's many places on the web that can make you custom u-bolts and also carry common sizes, that is if you can wait for shipping.

Why can't I picture a safe, practical, or needed use for 24" (2 foot) U-bolts?
What's the diameter of the bolt?
Maybe I' just don't know about drops?

I'm hoping he means 24 inches from one end of the wire to the other end with a bend in the middle.

I buy all my u-bolts at a spring shop. They are in the phone book under trucks repair.
