oil level sensor

can the oil level sensor be deleted? I just got a 02 camaro pan and it doesn't have the bung for the sensor. If i have to weld one in at what level should it be. thanks for any insight.

Re: oil level sensor

delete it, not needed. I have a camaro pan and it does have the sensor, it's a big white sending unit-looking thing on the side of the pan...just don't plug it in.
