What Shocks You Using?

I just picked up a 3:08 posi rear end and will be having it installed shortly. Although my truck rides okay I notice the shock absorber rubbers are squished and cracked so I figure I might as well replace the shocks seeing everything will be apart. I can get Bilsteins that will fit the truck and I'm wondering what everyone is running for shocks on their trucks. My truck is stock height and will probably stay that way.

That's funny Greg I just installed a 3.08 posi today Personally I like KYB, they are resonably priced and ride nice. Good ole Monroes have done the job as well.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Bilsteins. Expensive but worth every penny to me. They will last over 100k miles. Not many shocks can boast that.

Re: What Shocks You Using?

I've never coughed up the $$$, but I'll take Lee's word on the Bilsteins. A very good lower-priced choice is KYB Gas-a-justs. And I've heard good stuff about Monroe Sensatracs. Might even try 'em myself, if the KYBs ever give up. No sign of that happening anytime soon, though.

Re: What Shocks You Using?

My own personal opinion - You can't go wrong with either Bilstein or KYB. Both are very good shocks.
