52 2 ton dually possibilities???

I'm looking at getting a 1952 2 ton and was thinking about doing a mild rod to it, but i'm wondering what can be done?
is there anyway to improve the handling of a 2 ton? will the after market IFS kits work on this frame?

Hot Rod bob tail wrecker?? Would lighten the truck quite a bit. An IFS setup for a BB engine should work, just would need higher spring rates. I think the frame width is the same for all the early GM trucks.
