blue smoke

I need a refresher, I have blue smoke after truck warms up, not during acceleration. That's a valve seal or guide issue right?

Re: blue smoke

Rings. A leak down test may be in order.

Another thing to do is have a friend follow you and observe smoke when you let off the accelerator while in gear going down a hill.

Re: blue smoke

Would a leaking intake gasket cause oil loss as well?
