Show me your aftermarket trim, where from?

As it says....looking for upper and lower side trim and would like to see and hear your feedback. How did the fasteners work? Flush fit? Quality? Thanks. Mine will be for a 72.

Re: Show me your aftermarket trim, where from?

I got Mar-K brand. Not cheap but I'm happy with it. Used the oem style metal clips it came with, didn't trust the stick-type clips it also came with.

No complaints about the fit. Need to take your time to make sure everything is straight. The two portions that took time to install were the doors (had to remove the inside door cover and stick your arm in the metal door hole to reach way up to the front of the door to tighten one of the clips). The front most trim pieces required the entire front bumper to be removed to access a clip.

Beautiful truck. Did you buy an aftermarket woodgrain tailgate band too? I know MarK doesn't sell those, so I wondering how the woodgrain matches between the side trim and tailgate.

Re: Show me your aftermarket trim, where from?

I did not swap the tailgate band, only the sides were tarnished on mine. My tailgate woodgrain is slightly lightened from time, but no one can tell the difference looking at the back/sides unless they were on a mission to find the difference.

Re: Show me your aftermarket trim, where from?

I would like to revive this thread. I've been looking at some expensive NOS woodgrain side trim, and was wondering how the after market ones did for some. Counterpart, LMC, mar-k, etc. what do you have, and how happy are you with it?

Re: Show me your aftermarket trim, where from?

I went with Mar-K on mine, and am very happy with the quality, the fit, and the look. The trim was one of the ONLY aftermarket parts I bought for which I could make that claim.
