'91 digital dash question

My sister-in-law has a 91 S10 Blazer 4wd (T10) with a digital dash that keeps fritzing out for days at a time. My brother has been all through it trying to figure things out and has not been able to find anything as yet. So the question is this...... Will an ANALOG CLUSTER replace the digital one straight up or will he have to repin the harness or what? Any input will help out greatly.

Dave

Re: '91 digital dash question

I tried doing this. The connector for analog and digital where the both plug in is different. you can not interchange them without cutting and changing the connectors wich is ALOT of wires. there is a guy on ebay who repairs clusters though. ive never got mine repaired but this is the link to one of the people who fixes them.

To repeat what he said, they will not swap out. The ebay repair guy is the one to go with.

Re: '91 digital dash question

I swapped them out because I got sick of problems with the digi dash... went to the junkyard and got a cluster and the connector with plenty of wire. Here is my how-to:
