Heavy plow on a 98 K 1500
I just bought a Meyer plow from a friend of mine and I'm thinking it might be a bit too heavy for my truck. What are my options?

No details so no one can reply w/ info. Many years ago I put an 8' Western plow on a Jeep Cherokee that at best would have a 6' plow. It worked.

Re: Heavy plow on a 98 K 1500
I have a 98 K1500. The plow is a Meyer thats about 15yrs old. Im assuming it weighs about 400lbs and is 7.5ft wide. Was wondering what guys do to account for the extra weight.

2wd or 4wd. If 2wd you could try 2500 coils in ths front.
4wd. You could crank the torsion bars to compensate for the weight. Make sure your attachment points are good. |
