88 3500 TH400 to 4L80?

G'day everyone, my mate has just picked up a RCLB dually 454 with a TH400. What does he need to put a 4L80, or 4L80E into it?
TIA

An expensive second trans only computer to control it.

Thanks Tom. He just bought it and drove from Melbourne to Canberra and said it used more fuel than his 409 '63. So we are looking to remedy that.
Do you have a link for these trans only computers?

I think the prices have come down on those. Somewhere I read around $400 for the controller.

That's like half what it used to be. If true that's much more reasonable.
OP- Im sorry I don't have links. I don t use them I just know that's whats required unless the truck had a 4L60e from the factory then the oem computer can be re-programmed to control the 4L80e.
