Holley spread bore

I have a Holley spread bore 6210 that needs a rebuild.

How do they compare to Q-Jets for DD duties?

Re: Holley spread bore

Its hard to beat a Q-jet for drivability & gas mileage.

Re: Holley spread bore

It would be going on my 65 G10 van.
350 sbc, TH700R4, 3.23 gears, and 25-26 inch tires are what I think I am going to get. The gearing may change depending on how I feel it does with the OD in the brick shape.

I have a 390 Holley I could use its good parts off of to make a excellent 390 if need be. Or go with my Edelbrock Q-jet with electric choke.

I just like the ease of which I can tune a Holley

Re: Holley spread bore

I ran a 6210 on a 350 CID SBC and loved it, but because it's a mechanical secondary double pumper carb, it can really feed the gas with a heavy right foot. Maybe not the best choice for a heavy vehicle like a van used for daily driving duties, but it won't be terrible.
