Saginaw to Muncie Conversion

Hello, I have a 69 Chevy C10 2wd half ton with a 350 Chevy and a 3 on the tree. I want to convert the truck to a Muncie 4 speed floor shift from a car.. I am very good with mechanical work on these trucks as I have restored and daily drive 2 of them.. But my question is is it possible to just pull out my 3 speed trans and bolt in the 4 speed Muncie. Will it be the same spline, length and bell housing. or will i need a new drive shaft and bell housing?

Re: Saginaw to Muncie Conversion

Should be a bolt in as long as the Muncie is a 10 spline input shaft.
If not you’ll need a new clutch disc.
I’m not sure on the output splines but I think they’re the same.
The shifter is a bit tight to the seat though. You can get offset and taller handles though.

This thread would get more answers over in the engine and drivetrain section. You can ask a moderator to move it.

By the by, welcome to the jungle!
