hellwig rear sway bar, how?
got my sway bar in today, been reading over the instructions, they're rather poorly written.. everything seems to be rather self explanatory however, except for one peice. its an L shaped peice, we can't figure oiut how it attaches to the frame.. any ideas?

don't worry, I've tried to read the insturctions.. I'm not that kind of person. I beleive we've gotten it on there correctly, however the instructions do not tell us exactly how far forward or backward on the control arms the bar should mount, and the pictures are inconsistant with one another.. I left it on there, but loose so I can talk to hellwig monday.. fortunatley this didn't stop me from getting something done today

Hey bud, I had the same problem w/ poor instructions from Brother's so I called Classic Performance Products (1-800-522-5004) and acted like I bought from them and asked for 'another' set of instructions. The "L" brakets. Hook a tape measure in the oval hole on the frame that is above the rear springs, measure forward 20". Mark the spot. Then measure up from the frame bottom 2" and cross the first mark. This is where you want to drill a hole for the bolt to hold the bracket on. At least that is how the CPP sway bar is mounted. Before we go any farther, what year truck are you mounting this bar on? I assumed a 67-72. If newer than we have a different animal.
