That makes two of us.

But I also don't want to know either.

I've heard of Kim K and recognize her picture when it's on tabloids. I think she married or divorced somebody.

I am almost up with you, Tim. I have heard the name..... that's it. No idea what she looks like (I have heard of tabloids, but I don't read or even look at them). No clue regarding her marital status either. Only thing I sorta recall is someone in her family used to be a guy but now he's not.

You don't look and laugh at the covers on tabloids while waiting in line at the grocery store? Everything you ever need to know that is important is right there!

I refuse to pay with body parts. Well, maybe a pinky if it's the right part.

I hate this one... "Do the dance".

I agree. I told a guy that was wanting to buy my truck resently that I don’t dance. It was just weird when he said that to me.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

When someone says they are going to "sale" something instead of "sell" something. Is it regional?, The twang in the way they speak?, poor English?
I don't know, but it just makes them sound so dumb.

Yes, yes, and yes!!! Opposite side of the same coin, they have something "for sell" instead of for sale.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

I’ll admit that I sometimes confuse sale and sell when typing. But I don’t ever recall typing “ I saw a sail for sell at a yard sale”. In spoken word, I don’t think I could hear a difference. If I pay close attention I can distinguish between effect and affect.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

If you want to sale something than you need to advertise. It's easier then posting a for sell sign out by the road. Lots'um gets solded that way

I have a question. In those parts of the country where it's common too hear people say sale instead of sell and sell instead of sale, does the store sell those orange and black signs that say For Sell? I always wondered that

So I went to look at this wagon today, something I have wanted and dude had them all-
"It has a 350 so its worth what i'm asking"
Me: tell me the specs of the motor -
Him " I dunno"

"My Mom/Dad wants it gone"
" I had dreams of fixing it up someday"
"its fast"
"replacement parts are a dime a dozen"
"you could put on a carb and fresh gas and drive it"

What about the patina? He didn't play on that?

Back east here they like to say, "I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California". Out west do they say, "I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to New York?

Old time motor head I knew growing up used to say,

But I kinda like that one in certain conversations

Aha! Here's another one I hate.
"Oil just changed." Does that seriously add any kind of value to a vehicle for sale?

It depends on the purchase price.

My brother-in-law has a motor home; we tell him it would double the value if he filled the tank with gas.

Re: Internet sayings you know are coming and are sick of hearing.

Yeah, just changed oil after 10,000 miles so you don't get the skanky oil/fuel/coolant smell as it runs off the dipstick. Even better is "Just changed the plugs". Only new plugs, not a tune-up? Still have the old plugs by any chance?

I like "Just needs a tune-up". I always want to say "Then tune it up". I would never think to sell a vehicle I hadn't first tried to get running as nicely as possible. At least a simple tune-up... unless it had engine issues

Bingo! It does have engine issues, but the seller prefers to gloss it over with a "tune-up" claim.
