56 chevy truck straight axle

Im trying to get my 56 chevy truck ready to drive. I have a 3 inch lowered straight axle. Can you tell me what I need to do to the tierod, drag link and steering arms. I was told they need to be redrilled or something like that. Im going to run a tilt steering colum and eventually power steering and disc brakes. But I just want to get it going so I can drive it. And fix the other stuff along the way. Thank you please help
