Where there's smoke there's fire

But for the most part the fire hasn't been in our State. Ca. is on fire. I think we were nailed by Oregon too. Near a month like this, every day but one. The picture is about average.

I don't recall a season to this level or close. More than a shame so many are human caused. Props to those fighting it.

EDIT: Just came across this. I don't know, compared to my neighborhood this looks tamed. https://mynews4.com/news/local/gardn...in-the-country

Re: Where there's smoke there's fire

The smoke is miserable all right, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Sorry to have sent so much of it your direction. But given the choice, I would pick smoke to flames any day. Thankfully the worst of our fire is behind us..... for now anyway. I'd love to see all of us breathing clean air again, the sooner the better.

Re: Where there's smoke there's fire

Yeah, we have the smoke from the California fires plus the smoke from our own. The mountains have disappeared for the last week, but I got a glimpse of them today.

Living in CA, this pisses me off to no end!!!! And, you see drivers do it all the time! The news and other outlets are always saying don't throw your cigarettes out the windows, but people are just too stupid to realize this is one of the dumbest things you can do.

This is not meant as a political commentary at all, so I hope it is not taken that way. The tax that's paid on cigarettes ought to go to the fire departments throughout the state in order to pay for equipment and manpower.

If you haven't seen it, Only the Brave is a hell of a good movie and a little insight into this tough group of individuals.
