Thumbs up >> Front Shock Relocators for 60-66c10 with 4/6 DROP???<<

I have been searching for the answer to this question for about an hour.
all I could find were plenty of threads for REAR shocks but nothing pertaining to the front shocks on our 60-66 C10 trucks with a 4/6 DROP.

I have 2' Drop Spindles & 2" Lowering Springs installed.

Truck will have a stock 350 crate engine and 700R4 transmission in it.

I already relocated the rear shocks just need to know if the front needs to be done as well.

If so, which kit should I buy??

CPP sells a relocation kit for around $50 but the description does not mention 60-66 C10 trucks.

??

Thanks for your help

I made my own out of some heavy wall square tubing. moved the mount which gave me approx. 3" extra on the frame which is way more than I needed at the arm. I have a static drop of approx. 4"

Pics are in my build thread.

For reference, I am using 2 1/2" drop spindles, stock suspension, 26.5" tall tires and bags on my 66. Not sure of the drop but the front cross member is about 3" off the ground on modified bump stops.

With stock location shock mounts, Monroe 37049's fit but are right at their compressed limit fully dropped. However, a hard hit would probably damage the shocks. My configuration has no room for error.

Thanks for help, looks like I'm gonna go ahead and do the shock relocation mod for the front after all. After sleepin' on it, it makes sense to give the shocks a little more travel length.

Thanks again

Sorry about the bad pics but you get the idea

I like that kdad. I should consider doing that. It's an easy mod.

I only plan on running on the bump stops during parades etc., but if I were to bottom out when at ride height, (a couple inches higher), I might regret not adding extenders.

Hmmm...
