I would love to Nate but I haven't got the wife talked into it yet. I mentioned it again the other day. No doubt in my mind it would make it OK...

Re: Dbear's '71 4x4 Burb with some USA Military Diesel

Awesome build so far, looking it all over for inspiration and information for my swap. I am swapping a 6.2 out of an 83 K20 into my 69 K20. Just picked up the donor truck today. The 83 has an automatic but my 69 has a 4spd. Wanted to swap the auto in but can't decide if it would be easier to just keep the 4spd and 205 and just bolt the 6.2 up as is. Would that work without having to move the tranny and transfer case? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know I am a fast re-sponder...LOL I just started working on this rig again, a bit more major work this time. I am finally gonna pull this thing off the existing frame, building up another one that I got from LocDoc about 5 or 6 years ago...i know, I work fast! lol.....Got the new frame tore down, building custom gas tank hanger system, fuel filter bracket/skid plate for the 6.2, and then going to get it blasted and painted. Not sure why I went backwards, but I really want to make a nice rig out of this thing. I will post pics of all the work next week when I am back a the shop........
