Trucks Advertising a Business.

I have been seeing a couple of Businesses advertising with old Chevy trucks lately. Thought I would post some pics.
Show us what is in your area!
These are in Eastern Ne.

That last truck looks like something worth fixing up and driving.

Nope, there are 2 (maybe 3) restaurants locally that use old trucks for their ads. I'll get some pics sometime soon.

Not GM, but I thought it was cool nonetheless. Saw it a couple weeks ago in Humboldt County, CA on the "Avenue of the Giants" scenic byway.

It's a F**d, but still cool. I'm equal opportunity for trucks this old. This one is about a mile from me. Great food, to boot!

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

There is a liquor store along US15 in MD just before the PA line I stop at on my way to the truck show at Carlisle. The owner is an old GM Truck guy and has two stake bodies out by the hiway with beer specials posted. I guess I only took pictures of the GMC. He also has a faded orange '58 or '59 with same size stake body. I'll include his panel he drives

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

Here is a moving truck sign my friend painted for Seacrets night club in Ocean City, MD. They now have a rum distillery and when this truck isn't sitting out front it is hauling or in a parade. This one picture is of it on The Boardwalk during the Ocean City car event fall or spring when they allow vehicles to cruise it by invitation.

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

A couple backroads from here is this farm brewery, a new type of license in the county. They produce small batches of beer with ingredients they raise and have a small little bar room with a few tables. They are open very limited hours, but on Saturday afternoons they may have live music back in the brewery room where there's more room. Or out in the new pavilion. Cool place, nothing but farm land all around sitting on a high knoll. Oh yeah, the truck is always sitting there.

I love that Mack from O.C. MD.
My brother used to live in Salisbury MD and loved to go to Ocean City for a get away.

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

Being on the coast is not too kind to a truck sitting out. It has been back to my friend's shop for some touch up. I haven't been to Ocean City for years. There is a donut shop that's been there forever, Layton's Dip'n Donuts. Thy used to keep a cherried out Willys Wagon parked out front till someone came along and rear ended it. I couldn't find any pictures except this sign board with a painting. That thing sat there for years

https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=...32691298595796

The places with old trucks out front in Big Sur and Humboldt Co make me miss N. Cal. I need to take a trip.

How appropriate:

I took a leisurely ride home through the countryside on my way home from Carlisle Trucks yesterday. I had to stop twice to get pictures of these two prime pieces of truck out front signage

A pest control company that started in Florida in the late 30's started using old cars as road side signs. Here is one.

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

This is an example of poor execution. I'm not sure where they were going with this. The boot had advertising for a restaurant at the local livestock auction. The restaurant folded apparently before the Bronco was tied in to the theme. I didn't get my 55 in the shot on purpose.

I didn't know whether to put this one under "Yard Art" or this thread. I know it's not a truck, but it is advertising an auto restoration business.

Re: Trucks Advertising a Business.

This old dump truck was left behind by a concrete company . The new land owner is the local Chevy dealer and he reclaimed the ponds left behind and parked the old truck on what used to be the old scales. Decorated it up with lights at Christmas and left them on it.
