replacement wiring harness

The wiring for my 68 K20 came to me in a box and is not in the best of shape, I'm looking into a replacement one because after all it is almost 50 years old.
there is a different wiring harness for the 67-68 and the 69-72 I read that the difference is the steering column connector, is that the only difference? The 69- is always about $50 cheaper

another question brothers trucks has them on sale now, the picture they use looks the same as American autowire i'm guessing they sell aam

Might look at Brillman Co also. They make quality harnesses and, as important, their service and support was top notch for me. I've only purchased tractor harnesses from them, but pretty sure they make our truck harnesses also - wiring is their main business.

I'm just finishing up my wire replacement/install and I went with American Auto Wire and I am very happy with it. It went into a 1969 C10 fleetside. I know that the kit I got from them was marked on the box for 69-72 chevy truck.

If your talking about the under dash harness there are differences between the two sets. First off the wiper switches are on opposite sides of the dash bezel. I believe there is a slight difference in the heater wiring. The later years had a provision for dome lights that my 67 Burban doesn't have. The pricing probably has to do with volume sold.

I have done some research and according to the american autowire 67-68 instructions the kit for the 67-68 is the same but also comes with some extra jumpers, one for the windshield washer switch and a number of them for the 67 step side.

I installed a Painless kit in my 1970 years ago.. it was easy as it comes. Really lived up to it's name. All the wires were marked every couple inches as to what they were. Plus it had an upgraded fuse panel with extras.
