Is there any triangulated four link rear suspension kits for 67-72's? Also, if there is not, could you adapt another kit or would another kit work, From like a newer model truck? Input would be appreciated. I found like 2 kits but they don't specify what they would work on. Also, could you use coil overs? And is there any type of sway bars available. Thanks

Summit has a generic 4 link for less than $300 w/o the rod ends. Those can run up to $400 but I think you can find them cheaper like in a Speedway catalog. It's not a triangulated 4 link though so you still have to have a panhard bar.

Most 4 link setups are going to be a "you fit it" kit. Coil overs can be used but your going to have a soft rear end. There's a reson for those big coils back there. It's a truck and it's heavy. Coil overs work great on a sports car or a bucket T but you have a big heavy truck. I know it might look cool with shinny 4 links and coil overs but unless your going to tow the thing to shows, your not going to get much use out of them. If your looking to imrove your handling, your going in the wrong direction. You need a suspention system that can handle the weight first. You trailing arms and coils are a great setup. Nascar ran them for years.

If you have a coil spring rearend now save your money you have a better setup now for traction than a 4-link. just add some HAL 140lb adjustable coilovers and your in business. If your going for looks e-mail me and i'll get you pics of a couple of customers trucks we have put 4-links on.

Okay, my reason for asking about the coil-overs are just an alternative idea for bags at the time. I am just trying to get a image in my head of the truck before I build it. I plan to install bags. But first I gotta learn to weld and cut. Im 15, so I'm new into it. I should be getting a truck within the coming months, unless I build the 400sb I have first. Which i plan to go 0.030 over with forged crank, pistons, and good rods.

the buildup will start from there. If anyone has any pics of air setups or the compressors, and four-links, It'd be really nice of ya.

if you have leafs, ride tech makes a 4 link airbag conversion. they did it in a magazine on a burb like a year ago or something.
