Blazer with Suburban roof.

I was flipping through the website this morning, and saw this thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=491817

A couple of pics down you see a Blazer with a Suburban roof top.

I got to thinking how would one build this that would be easiest for a average guy.

Would it be best to graft on the top like he did.

Or would it be easier to remove the body, shorten the suburban frame, and trim body to match.

Either way I see alot of welding, but shortening a body would be easier from a bracing/ body lining up point of veiw. Although more difficult from a lifting/logistics the body off. Although rental forklifts are not to bad price wise if your really down for it.

Re: Blazer with Suburban roof.

there was a guy over on ck5.com that did a k5 roof section on to a burban and he had to do a LOT of work to get it all lined up and look good .

if you want that look and as easy as possible I would almost shorten a burb body and be done with it.
