My 1989 k1500

im new to the site and just trying to figure everything out in here. i have a 89 k1500 with a 350 in it, sm465 trans, and soon to have a 14 bolt sf in it. its got a 6'' rough country lift and dual exhaust with 35'' mickey thompson mtz. its pretty good in the woods and the dual batteries help alot with the lights and winch. always looking for cheap ideas and that so if anyone has any let me know if you dont mind.

You know, THe way this truck is set up it would look good
with one of those old school rollbars and a few KC lights mounted on it.

Nice truck. I like it. Are those Bushwacker fender flares?

Edit: Yeah, give us the story on that bumper. Homemade?

Re: My 1989 k1500

yes there bushwacker fender flares, the pocket style. the bumper is homemade. i used 4x3 rectanguler tubing that i slide right into the frame rail openings then a universal winch plate that i used 3/4" grade 8 bolts to bolt it together and welded everything. better to be stronger then weaker is my theory. the rest is 3/16 diamond plate steel. im going to finish the bottom sides this summer and add tube uppers to add a lil front protection
