Best Place to Buy Leaf Springs?

Going through my new 92 K10 truck and the drivers side springs are sagging badly. Where is the best place to order stock ride height leaf springs? What are most guys here running?

Here in the San Diego area we have North County Spring in Escondido and National Spring in El Cajon. Both do custom work and can build whatever you want. You probably have similar shops in the Ventura area. Custom work can be more expensive, so maybe others here on the board have cheaper suggestions for stock replacements.

Thanks. I can swap the springs myself, but after spending the morning calling around, nobody seems to have a line on OEM springs. I finally found a place in the San Fernando Valley that can order them for pick up next Wed.

Tons of 3" and 4" inch lift springs, but nothing stock.

Re: Best Place to By Leaf Springs?

I'd have the factory springs rebuilt/rearched before I put some aftermarket springs on. Who knows where they are made nowadays. Going to have my Suburban rears done soon and the spring shop told me that very thing. I've had them do stuff for me in the past and they do awesome work that lasts

Re: Best Place to By Leaf Springs?

I bought leaf springs for a 57 gmc 102.

thought I would support a local vendor

what a chump

I paid close to twice as much,

I thought he would build it right there in his shop, no way, he bought them from another vendor, guess who paid shipping to his shop rather than to my residence. And I drove up to Tucson over 100 miles each way 3 separate times....Chump

and stock ride hight? two inch drop is the new standard ride hight. Take it or leave it. Oh and since you worked on them and installed them... no return.

When I got them i took them apart and deburred them, polished the contact surfaces and greased up the leafs. Really rode smooth. prep them makes a difference.

pretty disappointed that I was taken advantage of when I went to support a local vendor.

He didn't even try hard to remove the other vendors part/contact number. who I called and found out just how highly marked up his price was.

the shop has been in bussiness since 1963. the owner retired and turned over day to day to his son in law... Doesn't know the difference between spring suspension and spring water

I would not re-arch old springs, they go bad rather quickly right after you do that.
