Next is my 72. I chased this one since the 80's and finally got to buy it in 2012. It's from my home town.

Dave is your headliner black or white? Beautiful truck, bronze is one of my favorite colors.

No kidding. I had to look up "CK" on the VIN. Learned something new today.

engineer_gregh's 71 is beautiful. Super clean, even with the engine compartment installed on it's side.

I heard from an appraiser the Orange is the number one color that is sought after for these 67-72 trucks. That short stepper will look great when you return it to it's glory, GOOD SAVE!

Good save is right. Hugger orange is my favorite color on a SWB step side.

That's good to know I wasn't sure on the rarity of the orange. I read that the pinstripe option was not that common

A short bed step side Super with air in Orange! Thats a rare truck. I just missed a short bed step side Cheyenne with original 402 factory black truck here in Nashville. Please post a build thread as you restore that truck if you haven't already done so.

I think you'll have a stunning and rare stepper there when you're done. D99 stripe is perfect on a stepper. And with the parchment interior, it will be gorgeous. Congrats!

I don't have any pics il take a couple in the morning. Glovebox and door panels are in the woodgrain. Does have headliner but fell off so I'm conditioning it as we speak. I got lucky that nobody tried to put a CD player in and cut the dash up so it's intact. It didn't come with factory tach but I owned a 69 short step about 10 years ago and pulled that out before I had to sell it. It cleaned up really well inside so i lucked out.

With a BB it would be a cream of the crop. Approaching that regardless. Worth saying again.......NICE SAVE.

Tough to dislike step sides. Some months ago I had the opportunity for what appeared to be a REAL nice 71, one hour drive. 350 on a stick for 3k. It might be in the driveway hadn't I bought the 72 a month earlier.

I'd be tempted for a white top & letters on that truck. If it's a personal preference for appearance, IMO it wouldn't effect the value, other than maybe up.

I saw where some of yall were saying sierra grande's didn't have houndstooth. Here is the spid out of a 72 sierra grande I bought a few years ago. I also included a pic of the seat. It has houndstooth interior. This truck was all white also.
