Missing SPID

Just bought a Georgia truck thinking it was a Custom/10 with no body trim, solid as a rock. Was missing SPID label as glove box door was changed. Color had been changed as I knew when I bought it. Problem is now that I am stripping paint I am finding holes for trim that someone filled with body filler years ago and painted over. Is there a site or a place you can find information? I'm not even sure what emblems to put on the side, is there a measurement for the holes on each emblem? My interior is quite Spartan, with only the 3 hole dash, it was a 250/6 3 speed truck to boot. Seems strange a cheap truck with upper and lower trim. I also had what looks to be some type of extra factory antenna hole and coax on the driver side of cowl? Anyone ?

Re: Missing SPID

What model year vehicle?

For US built and sold trucks: The GM Heritage Center info starts in 1976/1977.

For Canadian built trucks, or vehicles built in the US for Canadian use, you can contact GM of Canada Vintage Vehicle Services. They would have the info:

http://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/options.html

If neither of those apply to you then your only hope is to find a build sheet in the truck somewhere. Barring that you are out of luck.

Re: Missing SPID

If you decide to have a new SPID label made, either with the option content you've found somewhere, or if you want to just make it up, you can contact site member Chipflyer (Jeff) and he can make one for you.
