Thoughts on the look? Pics of examples of the combo? Argent silver caps on white wheels?

Wondering whether to rehab these to white, silver, or punt.

I wonder if they’d survive having them chromed and the cost involved.

I like the white on white and am not necessarily going to have “correct” hub caps. Obviously, it’s no show truck.

. May just do a quick spray to see how argent silver will look.

I think argent on white will look like you were trying to make them look chrome. I'd do argent cap & wheel or both white

Can't beat argent on argent either. You see that even less. I would never paint one of these hubcaps in any way other than how GM did. Defeats the whole purpose of running caps. If you want other than factory there are endless choices

It might have to do with the year of your truck too. 67-68 wheels were argent colored and had argent, white or chrome caps.

Truck is a 69 made in Fremont. Most likely had black wheels with no caps from factory, but don’t have a legible SPID.

Leaning heavily toward white.

I've tried all these combos on my truck but ultimately went back to the white wheels with argent caps. I have the 67/68 caps on mine but this gives you an idea of what the different combos look like since it appears our trucks are about the same color as well. I do think for the caps you have, those look best in white/white.

The way it worked from factory was '67- black wheels/white caps, '68 & '69- argent wheels & caps, late '69-'72- white wheels & caps. So if yours is a '69, argent on argent would be correct... whether that matters or not. But it's "just the way it came" as far as any debates on what why or who dat color talk

X2! There was a transition to white wheels and white caps in later '69 as you correctly noted. '69's argent on argent.

Thanks. I left the "late" out of '69-'72, which would make things confusing.
