2door Tahoe budget lowering?

I have a 2 door 2 wheel drive 99 tahoe and want to do a mild budget lowering on it. Was wondering if anyone has done this with theirs. I dont want to do a hack job or make it ride terribly rough either so if i cant do a buget lowering without getting a decent ride then i wil have to put it off for awhile. I thought maybe getting 2" lowering springs for the front then get alignment and for the rear doing a flip. Would this be ok and was wondering if others have done this to their tahoe? I know alot of others have done this with c10s but never heard of anyone doing it to their tahoe. Just wanting a 2" drop in front and 4-5" in rear by doing this . What you guys think?
