Ed China leaves Wheeler Dealers

After 13 seasons Ed calls it quits. He didn't agree with the producer's plans for the show. They've got a new guy to take his place. Ant Andsted or something like that. Ed will be putting up videos or something on the web.
I hate to see him leave but this stuff happens. I wish him well.

Yeah, I really liked him as well. Too bad he moved on. It won't be the same show without him. Did you see the youtube video he did explaining why he left? If not take a look. It seems as though Velocity was doing away with some of the actual repairs he was doing on the vehicles.

Yes i did. I watch these type shows for the builds and not for the guy smiling at the camera and trying to be a comedian. Apparently V is wanting to cut back on the actual shop work. In my opinion that won't leave anything much worth watching.

Too bad.

I've been trying to figure out at what point You Tube starts paying for the videos and at what point people could make a living. There sure seems to be a lot of people trying.

Yeah me too. I don't know how people make money off putting up videos and asking people to "like" them. How does this make money and who pays it? I'm old so there is more i don't know about the internet than i do. I watch u tube videos and I've never "liked" any of 'em.

He was the only "good" part of that show. Didn't really care for Mike's blabbing, and all that BS about the money they had to make. Could'a left off all the money talk to show more of Edd's work....

Re: Ed China leaves Wheeler Dealers

I noticed Edd's announcement was already headed for four million views.

People are crazy. Edd said Mike had death threats.

Death threats over a TV show? That is crazy. I hope those nuts don't live anywhere near me, I might paint my house a different color they don't like and get shot at.

Re: Ed China leaves Wheeler Dealers

this is pretty old news.

I believe the producers wanted to focus the show more on the exploits of Mike buying and selling the cars and less about the actual work Ed was doing. Ed didn't agree so left the show

Money money money, Producers saw $ signs.
You make more money selling parts than watching some guy actually 'fix' something.
Glad to see someone stood behind what he believes in.
