Re: Manual Suburbans?

Good question. I don't think I have seen a stick in a Tahoe or Yukon either before

Re: Manual Suburbans?

Kid in high school used his dads Tahoe from time to time with a stick. Said his dad had to special order it that way, bought it new. This was like 1999, truck was a couple years old. Can't confirm it was actually ordered that way though.

Re: Manual Suburbans?

Thanks. I never saw any and wondered if they just didn't get ordered. I had a '90 Blazer 350/4spd and that was the exception in those. Had people saying they didn't know manul was still offered back then. People used to be surprised to see the stick shift in my '92 K3500, too, saying the same ting...didn't know it was available.

I miss my 5spd in the '92 and wish the Suburban was.

I looked up every year of the gmt400 suburban, and there is not a manual transmission offered in any of them.

This body style suburban started in 92. 91 and older were the square body style. The sm465 was available on those, but not the 92 and newer.

We are in the 88-98 section, talking about 92-99 suburbans.

Re: Manual Suburbans?

88-98 section covers late 80s early 90s....thru 91 is a square body..which could be bought with a manual...92 and up could not... both body styles are covered in the 88-98 section

It covers 88-98 trucks(2000 for the 8 lug stuff) and 92-99 for the suburban

There is a section meant for 73-91 suburbans(it says 73-91 at the top of the page)

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=37

I am not trying to start a fight or an argument. You will get more answers about a 90 suburban in the 73-91 suburban section than the 88-98 section.
