Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days

I picked up this hood insulation from LMC and didn't care for it. It shed like a dog all over my motor. Any one know of a quality insulation?

You mean i have to have money? Doah! Then im out for now... Does it cost more then $8.00? then i cant afford it at the moment! LOL. I will get there. i plan on pulling my motor though. It needs an oil pan gasket and rear main as well as trans front main... Figure F-it, just yard the motor at that point.

Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days

Yezzi, looks awesome. A few questions:

1. Is that the original AC Compressor?
2. Do you have a functioning Charcoal Canister installed? Any Pics?
3. Stickers - it appears you lost some in the process, and it also appears there are one or two "new" reproduction ones in there (by the jack). Where did you get them, or did you have them reprinted? And of the others, were they just lost in the process?

Great work; nothing like an original, clean engine bay. A lot of people "over-restore" them, but I think you nailed it.

Re: Engine compartment transformed in 12 days

Thank you! Yes it was the original compressor and I think I ordered the stickers from Yearone and lightly rubbed them with a compound to age them a bit.
