beehive questions

Can I put stock ls1 springs on a set of 882 heads with out modifications?

Maybe a little back story. It's not a truck..... a 1986 caprice. I have a 355 in it with a comp xe268 cam with 1.6 rockers. It ran great for a junkyard built engine but it turns out the valve springs weren't up to snuff for the 1.6 rockers. was gonna buy another set of valve springs but I have a set of springs and retainers from a stock ls1. Is there any machining that needs to be done to these heads or with they just fall right in and everyone will be happy?

Thanks in advance
